The June Revolt

From Abeyance

The June Revolt was a failed coupe in Stockholm Sweden in the year of 3054. The coup was carried out by the guerilla group M-66 and started early in the morning of June of 29th. The coup began at 07:14 and was over at 08:59. Many have considered the Swedish parliament lucky since they were ill prepared for the attack and the reason the coup failed was mainly due to M-66s own failures. Most of the guerilla soldiers were killed and majority by their own bombs.

Aftermath

As a result of the coup the Swedish parliament legislated a new law commonly known as the M-66 law which gave the army extensive authority to eliminate any threats against the Swedish democracy, which ironically has been considered the beginning of the end of the Swedish democracy.
